Our Campus

Hillel at John Jay serves a tight-knit Jewish community on a large commuter urban campus located near Columbus Circle. At John Jay, Hillel offers free kosher lunch once a week, Jewish learning and Israel education programs, a space in the center of campus to take a break in between classes, leadership opportunities, coffee dates with Hillel staff and interns, and so much more! Hillel is a great way to make friends and find a community on a large campus. Plus, being a part of Hillel at John Jay also connects Jewish students to our other schools in Manhattan, coming together for off-campus events around NYC, shabbatons, conferences, and more.

Our Community

Jewish students at John Jay College come from all over NYC, Long Island, Rockland County, and beyond. Most students commute from home and take advantage of the diverse set of opportunities in Manhattan during the day.

Some of the most popular areas of study at John Jay are also popular among Hillel students including forensics, law and society, and criminal justice.

Our Space

Located at L2.70.10 in the Center of Student Involvement and Leadership (CSIL), otherwise known as Club Row, our club room is always packed with students enjoying free coffee and snacks, charging their phones, planning events, doing homework, and having thoughtful discussions about Judaism and Israel.
