Our Campus

Hillel at School of Visual Arts serves a tight-knit Jewish community on a small urban campus. In walking distance from Baruch College, Jewish students at SVA take advantage of all of the opportunities available on campus at Baruch including free kosher lunch and dinner everyday, (plus we sell kosher wraps too!), Jewish learning and Israel education programs, a space to meet up with friends, leadership opportunities, coffee dates with Hillel staff and interns, career counseling, and so much more! Hillel is a great way to make friends and find a community. Plus, being a part of Hillel at SVA also connects Jewish students to our other schools in Manhattan, coming together for off-campus events around NYC, shabbatons, conferences, and more.

Our Community

Jewish students at SVA come from all over NYC and beyond. Many commute from home, and some live in the dorms or in apartments with roommates close to campus.

Some of the most popular areas of study at SVA are also popular among Hillel students including animation, design, and cartooning.

Our Space

SVA students are welcome to take a short walk over to Baruch College and spend time in the Hillel space. Located at the Baruch College Vertical Campus 3-250 (just past the ping pong tables), the club suite is always packed with students enjoying free coffee and snacks, charging their phones, playing video games, planning events, doing homework, taking advantage of Hillel WiFi, and having thoughtful discussions about Judaism and Israel.

Upcoming Events

We always have something new going on at our campus. Check out our events calendar below for the latest in Jewish events and activities.
