Job Title: Senior Manager, Day School Engagement

Job Status: Full Time

Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000 annually

About You:

The Senior Manager, Day School Engagement will gain access to classrooms, assemblies etc. to educate bout IDF soldiers and the role of FIDF in support of them.

The Senior Manager, Day School Engagement will be responsible for identifying and getting to know the target audience in the area as it relates to the local students, continuously reaching out to new communities and representing FIDF within the communities, cultivating school and specifically student relationships, and increasing awareness and engagement for the purpose of connecting students with the soldiers in the IDF.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Use all methods possible including knocking on doors, phone calls etc. to gain access into schools to connect with students.

  • Demonstrated experience in implementing Day School engagement for the purpose of educating others about the IDF and the role of FIDF.

  • Build partnerships between FIDF and Day Schools (Leadership, Educators, Students)

  • Work closely with teachers to engage students in the classroom.

  • Develop content and speakers (soldiers, attaches etc.) for Day Schools to bring awareness about the IDF and the role of FIDF.

  • Create a programming framework and holistic engagement process for Day Schools. (Letters, thank you cards, Holiday cards etc.)

  • Create interactive programming with Day Schools to bring wider community awareness about the IDF and FIDF (Chanukah Candle lighting with soldiers, Bar and Bat Mitzvah Programs, Mitzvah Days, etc.)

  • Create an internal framework to support the chapter and regional directors in the Day School Engagement process.

  • Use best practices as well as innovative strategies to meet monthly goals for the number of students engaged and hours served.

  • Write monthly engagement logs and use monitoring reports to innovate and pivot to improve programs and meet goals.

  • Flexible hours: Be available for evening and weekend events if needed.

  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required.

  • At least 4 years of demonstrated success in Day School or Youth Engagement, Education or other related field.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are paramount, with the ability to articulate

  • ideas clearly, effectively, and inspiringly.

  • Proactive, dynamic, energetic, and creative

  • Experience in working with kids, teens, and adults.

  • Sense of urgency for goal achievement and managing varied activities

  • Relationship building focused on achieving results

About The Role:

The focus of this job is on ensuring all aspects of the planning for our missions to Israel, both from the National Office, Regions, and Chapters provide an exceptional customer service experience for all of the mission participants. This individual will be the primary contact with the Israel counterpoint in our Israel office and communicate and organize the needs of the US mission participants.

There is an emphasis on building rapport and relationships with individuals and groups and requires an outgoing, poised, and persuasive communication style. Because the pace of the work is faster than average, the ability to learn quickly and thoroughly while continually recognizing and adapting to changing conditions is critical.

Essential Job Duties

  • Coordinate all aspects of the mission with the appointed mission coordinator in Israel.

  • Provide a 5-star level of concierge service when arranging any requests for special travel requests, pre-arrival and post-mission reservations, special meal requests, hotel upgrades, transportation requests, touring options, and any other special request.

  • Proactively anticipate mission participants' needs and address any needs right away.

  • Partner with Marketing to design the signage for every aspect of the mission and ensure the timely delivery of the signage for the mission leaders and what needs to be sent to Israel in advance.

  • Make sure that all coordination of signage, swag, and arrangements in the US goes through you, and ensure that the individual you're coordinating within the US feels supported and stays informed about the progress made in preparing for the upcoming mission.

  • Select the swag, in conjunction with the Marketing team, for each mission based on the type of mission, National versus Regional/Chapter, the participants, etc.

  • Proficient in CRM, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

  • Determine the swag that will be provided in coordination with Marketing based on the type of mission. Coordinate the ordering and delivery of the swag to participants.

  • Incorporate feedback and suggestions to ensure we continue to look for opportunities to improve the mission experience.

  • Work with lay leaders, FIDF professional staff and travel agents in planning trips.

  • Communicate weekly with FIDF professionals on the status of their donors’ missions, sending updated itineraries, notifying departure and return dates, and following up after mission.

  • Respond to e-mail and calls for general mission inquiries, and track information for future mission mailings.

  • Plan and coordinate mission itineraries; map distances, research content, make changes to internal and external itineraries.

  • Develop a comprehensive cost sheet for each mission – communicate pricing to participants when requested.

  • Maintain mission and participant statistics for tracking and progress purposes.

  • Work with tour operators overseas and with FIDF’s Israel office to plan all site visits and put itinerary into effect.

  • Write and edit donor mini-bios or each major donor mission.

  • Work with Accounting to process, maintain, and track mission revenue and expenses.

  • Work with Marketing to update and maintain website with relevant information for open missions, as well as content for past missions and any dedicated web pages.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Experience providing 5-star concierge level experience.

  • Experience with Missions and knowledge of Israel travel preferred.

  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and has the ability to learn new systems.

  • Extremely high level of organization and follow-through, with excellent attention to detail.

  • Passion for the FIDF mission.
