Job Title: Part-time Program Coordinator at The Blue Card: a national non-profit organization with the sole mission of aiding needy Holocaust survivors in the United States.

Pay: $20 per hour.

Location: New York, NY

Job Description:

  •  Assist in the development of short and long term plans for programs, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance

  •  Client case review and presentation to review committee

  •  Liaise with social workers throughout the country

  •  Assist in design of performance objectives and implement and monitor programming to meet desired outcomes

  •  Assist with the development of public relations and communications strategies to support program goals and increase community awareness

  •  Assist in planning events and fundraising initiatives

  •  Develop yearly outreach plan according to program needs and capacity

  •  Ensure database(s) maintenance which include(s) participant and prospect information and mailing list

  •  Organize and establish meetings on regular basis with designated individuals to foster positive relationships

  •  Supervise interns and volunteers by articulating expectations, displaying model behavior, maintaining open lines of communication and being clear about roles and relationships

  •  Assist in the management of fiscal operations

  •  Performing administrative duties such as answering phones, typing memos, filing, scheduling, calendar management, etc.

  •  Perform duties as assigned by the Executive Director and senior management team

Qualifications:

  •  Must have strong and polished interpersonal, oral, written and organizational skills.

  •  Creative, strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to manage multiple projects.

  •  Bachelor degree with work experience or degree in progress

  •  Must be highly organized and able to work well with others

  •  Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows based computer application and database management

  •  The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a community-based organization

  •  Able to work with a variety of populations, including pre-teens, teens, young

  • professionals, and elderly.

  •  Event planning; program planning and implementation.

  •  Flexible; possessing the ability to wear different, “hats” on short notice.

  •  Bachelors of Arts in education, psychology, social work or related disciplines
