Marketing, Programming, and Operations Associate (NYC)

About CSA: The Council for a Secure America is a non-partisan, non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to promoting United States energy independence, its impact on United States foreign policy, the strategic relationship between the United States and Israel, and the Abraham Accords.
Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented Marketing, Programming, and Operations Associate to support our organizational operations and marketing initiatives in New York City. This role is essential to maintaining CSA's databases, communications, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Database & Contact Management
Maintain and update CSA's comprehensive contact databases and email lists
Add new contacts, track engagement metrics, and update records regularly
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all platforms
Generate reports on contact engagement and database growth
Email Marketing & Communications
Manage MailChimp invitations and other email marketing initiatives
Draft and send correspondence to members, board members, and supporters
Create and schedule regular email communications and updates
Monitor email performance metrics and optimize campaigns
Social Media & Digital Marketing
Manage CSA's social media presence across platforms (LinkedIn, X, others as necessary)
Manage CSA’s event marketing content
Create and schedule social media content
Create and schedule event marketing content
Monitor engagement and respond to inquiries
Coordinate with external public relations team on digital marketing strategies as needed
Draft press releases in coordination with public relations team
Administrative & Operational Support
Organize and maintain both paper and electronic files and records
Manage office operations including mail collection from NYC P.O. Box and other mailing items as needed
Create and organize distribution of promotional materials and branded items
Process routine administrative tasks and correspondence
Assist with general operational needs and special projects
Marketing Materials & Brand Management
Coordinate creation and distribution of marketing materials
Support development of marketing collateral
Maintain brand consistency across all communications
Manage inventory of promotional items and branded materials
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred in marketing, communications, or related field
1-2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or operations
Proficiency in MailChimp and Canva are required
Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, MailChimp, Square Space, Canva, Quickbooks, and scheduling tools (e.g., Calendly, Zoom)
Experience with social media management tools
Database management experience preferred
Excellent written communication skills
High integrity, discretion, and sound judgment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
Ability to anticipate needs, think strategically, and act with urgency
Interest in energy security, Middle Eastern politics, and international relations
Strong background in event planning for both in-person and virtual formats
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Additional Information:
Primarily remote based-work, but hours may vary
Occasional in person days at office space in NYC
Occasional evening work for special projects
This role requires regular evening and weekend work during events
Domestic travel several times per year as needed
Possible international travel once per year
A commitment to CSA's mission and values is essential
Salary Range: Approximately $60,000-70,000 including benefits. Salary is commensurate with experience
