BIRTHRIGHT ISRAEL FOUNDATION - INSTITUTIONAL GIVING/DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT
Position Summary:
Birthright Israel Foundation is seeking a qualified individual to assist with the work of the Institutional Giving team. This is an opportunity to build new professional skills in major gifts fundraising, grants management, and writing.
The Institutional Giving team writes and manages formal grant proposals and reports for foundations and federations. We work collaboratively with members of Birthright Israel Foundation's Development team in New York and around the country.

Reports To: Director of Grants and Special Projects
Compensation, Timeline and Hours:
Part-time (starting January 2024).
15-20 hours/week in-person, flexible schedule (within business hours).
$20/hour — this position is not eligible for benefits.
Essential Functions:
Track department's work in Salesforce through a growing portfolio of professional foundations, support data entry, and create reports.
Maintain and update department electronic files and lists.
Draft and edit key communications with major foundations and Jewish federations through reports, proposals and other writing.
Liaise with other departments, including fundraisers around the country, finance, and marketing, toward the production of various reports and proposals.
May be assigned other tasks and duties reasonably related to job responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Detail-oriented.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent editing skills.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Salesforce or other CRM experience a plus.
Previous office experience a plus.
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to speak clearly and hear the spoken word well.
Regularly required to physically operate routine office equipment such as telephones, computers, etc.
Regularly required to utilize near vision ability to read data and documents, including spreadsheets and reports, in printed form and on computer screens.
Work Environment:
Noise level is consistent with levels usually present in an office environment.
Hazards present are consistent with those common to an office environment.
