Position Title: Operations Support Internship

Duration: Spring/Summer 2024 - with potential for extension into either a part-time or full-time position based on performance and organizational needs.

Compensation: Starting at $20 per hour.

Hours: Minimum of 8 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate varying schedules.

With a focus on providing direct financial assistance, social services, and programs designed to improve the quality of life for Holocaust survivors in the United States, The Blue Card plays a critical role in ensuring the dignity and welfare of survivors. Position Summary:

The Summer Intern at The Blue Card will play a supportive role in various projects across our operations, fundraising, and program development departments. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit management, community engagement, and the development of programs that have a direct impact on the lives of Holocaust survivors. The intern will work closely with our dedicated team of professionals and will be involved in meaningful projects that contribute to our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the planning and execution of fundraising events and campaigns.

  • Support the program development team in managing and enhancing services for survivors.

  • Conduct research on potential grant opportunities and assist with the grant application process.

  • Engage with community partners and stakeholders to promote the mission and programs of The Blue Card.

  • Participate in the creation of marketing and communication materials.

  • Perform administrative tasks as needed to support team operations.

  • Analyze data and prepare reports on program outcomes and impact.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn new software and tools.
