Lighthouse is currently seeking an individual in our New York research office to assist the Investment team with risk and statistical analysis, performance reporting, and qualitative research on equity long/short hedge fund strategies. Additional responsibilities will include related database management, exposure reporting and marketing support. This individual will report directly to Head of U.S. Equities and the Chair of the Global Equity Committee.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform statistical and performance reporting analyses on existing and prospective hedge fund return streams.

  • Manage and monitor database inputs and outputs for accuracy, completeness, and coherence.

  • Support marketing communications related to various investments and portfolios.

  • Ability to take ad hoc projects from start to finish in a timely manner.

  • Assist investment team in hedge fund manager selection process.

  • Generate committee reports, agendas and supporting documentation for review by members of the Investment team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, MIS or Computer Science preferred).

  • 1-3 years of experience in investment or trading business.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.

  • Ability to set, organize and meet priorities and goals related to projects.

  • Ability to think critically and work independently, as well as with others in a small team environment.

  • Strong quantitative skills.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience working with Bloomberg and other financial software programs preferred.

  • High integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Programming experience and progress towards CFA helpful.

  • New York, NY based employment with office hours of Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM. Hybrid (remote/in-office) flexibility is available.

  • Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 for NYC, depending on skill set and relevant experience.
