Position Title: Zehut Teen Center Coordinator

Reports To: Director, Teen Services and Leadership Development

Full-Time Position

Teen Coordinator – Zehut Teen Center- Marks JCH

The Teen Coordinator is a full-time leadership role responsible for supporting the development, coordination, and

implementation of dynamic teen programming at Marks JCH. This position plays a vital role across multiple teen

initiatives, combining direct teen engagement with strong administrative and organizational oversight. The Teen

Coordinator serves as the central coordinating staff member for Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters (JBBBS) and acts

as the lead staff professional for B’Yachad Overnight Summer Camp. In addition, the role supports ongoing day-to-

day programming at the Zehut Teen Center. The ideal candidate is highly organized, relational, and proactive, with

the ability to balance hands-on program facilitation with behind-the-scenes logistics, planning, and follow-

through. This individual thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about creating meaningful,

engaging experiences for teens.

Key Responsibilities

Teen Programming & Engagement (Zehut Teen Center)

• Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of weekly and monthly teen programs, events, and

workshops under the supervision of the Teen Services Director

• Build consistent, trusting relationships with teens through regular presence and engagement

• Assist with Shabbat dinners, holiday programming, social events, and special programs

Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters (JBBBS) – Program Coordination

• Serve as a core coordinator for the JBBBS program

• Support mentor–mentee matching logistics and ongoing communication

• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and orientation of mentors and families

• Track participation, engagement, and program documentation

• Support program events, check-ins, and reporting needs

B’Yachad Overnight Summer Camp – Lead Staff Role

• Serve in a leadership role for B’Yachad Overnight Summer Camp – a 12 day overnight camp at the end of

August

• Support pre-camp planning, staff coordination, outreach and logistics

• Play an active role during camp in supervision, programming, and camper care

• Assist with staff training, schedules, and daily operations during camp

• Support post-camp follow-up and evaluation

Administration & Operations

• Manage program logistics including supplies, room setup, calendars, and schedules

• Maintain accurate rosters, attendance tracking, and documentation

• Assist with program budgets, purchasing, reimbursements, and expense tracking

• Support data collection for grants, reports, and internal metrics

• Ensure waivers, forms, and compliance requirements are completed

Outreach, Communication & Recruitment

• Support recruitment and retention of teens across programs

• Assist with drafting emails, program communications, and reminders to teens and parents

• Coordinate registrations and participant follow-up

• Work with the marketing team to support flyers, social media content, and outreach campaigns

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (education, psychology, social work, Jewish studies, or related field a plus)

• Experience working with teens in youth development, camp, education, or community settings

• Strong organizational, administrative, and time-management skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple programs and priorities simultaneously

• Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and summer camp schedules as required

• Familiarity with Jewish communal life preferred

• Bilingual (English/Russian) a plus
